What is a nitrocellulose lacquer finish?
Our lacquer finishes are sprayed thin to allow a nice breathable, resonant sound. They are designed to mimic a nice 50 to 60 year old well played guitar. They will age and continue to age over time!
Do you offer Pristine Lacquer Finishes?
Absolutely not. We follow the saying that lacquer is "meant to age." It can be brittle. However, we do offer a Closet Clean finish which allows us to keep a finish as clean as possible.
What is a Closet Clean finish?
A Closet Clean finish is a finish that can be kept clean, but may have a couple unintentional nicks, dings, slight checking, or buffing scratches in the finish.
Can you do a semi gloss buff?
We try to offer either a gloss or satin/matte finish. We can do a semi gloss, but it WILL have buffing scratches in the finish.
